Tim DeGroot, the founder of DeGroot Custom Homes Ltd, hails from the scenic Sunshine Coast in Powell River. A Red Seal-certified carpenter since 2007. Tim’s journey in the trade has taken him across BC, the Yukon, and Northern Alberta. In 2008, he met his future wife, and by 2013, they decided to make Kelowna their home. After honing his skills with a local contractor known for concrete formwork, Tim ventured out on his own. Starting as TTT Carpentry in 2015 and securing his BC registered builder’s license, he expanded his venture and established DeGroot Custom Homes Ltd in 2018. Operating in Kelowna and West Kelowna, Tim is a custom home builder who infuses each project with personal pride, as if it were for his own family. Alongside his wife, three sons, and two dogs, Tim is deeply rooted in the Kelowna community, embracing the quintessential Okanagan way of life. DeGroot Custom Homes Ltd. has been a member of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Okanagan since May 2025.
Tim has held his Red Seal carpentry certification since 2007, and he is on site for the critical work. That is the only way to know it is right.
